Management Philosophy and Message from the Chairman
The DNA that we inherit from our parents contains genetic information that is unique to each and every one of us. It is this fact that accounts for the infinite variety in our constitutions. The realization of "personalized medicine," that can read this genetic information and perform diagnosis and treatment according to our unique, individual constitutions is now just around the corner.
RIKEN GENESIS is now working toward the widespread adoption of the results of RIKEN's cutting-edge research throughout society, with to the aim of practical implementation of personalized medicine. In addition, we are aiming to promote the application of personalized medicine in clinical settings, and to push towards achieving the ultimate in human medical care.

The Mission of RIKEN GENESIS
Our mission is to work toward the widespread adoption of genotyping technologies established at RIKEN, to promote the practical implementation of personalized medicine, and to make a broad contribution to improving the quality of life (QOL) of people in Japan.
- We will contribute to research in pharmacogenetics (PGx) and other areas by means of state-of-the-art genotyping technologies.
- We will contribute to translating the results of genetic research into clinical settings, by commercializing genetics-related businesses (practical implementation of personalized medicine).
- We will contribute to the medical and bioscience industries in Japan and overseas by taking an open stance and collaborating with various partners.
