Olink Features
Highly Sensitive Quantitative Protein Analysis
By using PEA, which combines antibody and DNA-based methods, Olink has successfully eliminated antibody cross-reactivity and achieved high specificity, high sensitivity, and reproducibility.
What is PEA?

Using the PEA method, an immunoassay is performed using two specific single-stranded DNA-tagged antibodies against the target protein. When the two specific antibodies correctly recognize the target, double-stranded DNA is formed from the single-stranded DNA attached to each antibody. Next, PCR is performed using this double-stranded DNA as a template. Finally, the amplified DNA fragments are detected through real-time PCR or next-generation sequencing, and the expression level of the target protein is quantitatively analyzed.
Detection of Low-concentration Proteins in Blood
PEA technology uses DNA-tagged antibodies to achieve higher specificity than conventional methods. In addition, the amplification of DNA fragments by PCR increases detection sensitivity. As a result, PEA technology can detect low-concentration proteins, cytokines, and chemokines, which have been difficult to measure using mass spectrometry. Proteins at high concentrations are quantified using sample dilution rates optimized for antigen-antibody reactions.

Olink Explore Series
The Olink Explore series offers two platforms: Olink Explore 3072 and Olink Explore HT.

Olink Explore 3072 can simultaneously detect up to 3,000 different proteins by using eight different panels (two for each of four categories: cardiovascular, cancer, neurology, and inflammation). Olink Explore HT consists of a single panel.
Summary of Proteins to be Measured
Secreted Proteins in Blood: Selected from the Blood Atlas
Tissue-specific Blood Biomarkers: Leaky proteins from 27 major organs
Inflammatory Proteins: Identified through text mining of 5,000,000 PubMed abstracts
Drug Target Proteins: Existing drugs and ongoing clinical trial candidates
Blood Proteins: Identified by mass spectrometry in blood
